The highlighter of the day was a heartfelt prayer for peace by our children in London. Then ACDarts with their significant African theme went on signing and drumming for love and got everyone dancing. We raise £139 towards the cause. Thanks for the generosity of our donors, the fabulous Michelle Thomas, Rachel Hodgon, Jason Grant from Bootcamp, Sarah Morrison of Global Witness, Wendy & Ian Catterick from KRAN, Hiba K. Mohammed from Tabldia, Abdulmalik Al Abaid from London community, Joseph and Flora from the Universal peace Federation, the warm support of our Friends and community members.
The present of the family of the prominent South Sudanese leader Joseph lagu added to our joy. Lagu led the resistance in 1963 opposing the northern dominated Sudanese government since independence in 1956. He also served as Sudanese Ambassador to the UN Between 1990 and 1992. His family set a good example for the coexistence between Muslim & Christian in Sudan and we were blessed to have them among us.
We have volunteers working on the camp who are themselves refugees, your donation will help them to stay dignified and build their strength to prepare the future generation. For supporting our cause please, click here thank you and have a wonderful Christmas.
